About
The European Deaf Golf Championships (EDGC) is the premier international golf competition for deaf athletes across Europe. It brings together elite male, female, senior, and junior golfers from European nations to compete in stroke-play individual and team events under a unified set of international regulations.
The Championships are contested over multiple days and rounds, with titles awarded across a range of playing categories, showcasing both high-performance sport and inclusive competition. The EDGC provides a platform for deaf golfers to compete at an elite level, represent their countries, and promote excellence, equality, and accessibility in sport.
Beyond competition, the Championships foster international friendship, cultural exchange, and the continued development of deaf golf across Europe.
Role of EDSO
The European Deaf Sport Organisation (EDSO) is the recognised governing body responsible for overseeing and sanctioning the European Deaf Golf Championships. EDSO sets the eligibility criteria, competition standards, and regulatory framework to ensure fair play, sporting integrity, and alignment with international deaf sport principles.
Working alongside national deaf golf associations and local organising committees, EDSO ensures the Championships are delivered to consistent European standards, supporting athlete welfare, accessibility, and the long-term growth of deaf sport across the continent.
